Our Story
Dagmar: “Born and raised in Germany, I was taught the German language at an early age. Later I moved to Belgium to the Dutch-speaking part of the country. I got my teachers degree there. Since 2007 I have been teaching German, Dutch and English here in Mindelo. As a foreigner in Cape Verde I was constantly asked for advice about the do´s and dont´s of this country, so I got the idea to set up this service company. It is of great importance to me to receive foreign investors well and help them start their new life. The official language in Cape Verde is Portuguese, but the spoken language is called Crioulo. I advise our clients to learn one of both languages as quickly as possible. The story of our coordinator Bernardete is similar. After having lived in Italy and Portugal, she knows perfectly what new residentes need: fast, clear and efficient service in 1 place! The word StartCV therefore contains two messages: a new start by learning a new language, and a new start in our beautiful country.”
